How to Use

1. Place Oxalic Acid: Use the provided dosing spoon to load oxalic acid powder onto the cool vaporiser pan.

2. Ignite Gas Torch: Light your gas burner and set it to the lowest flame. Allow the device to warm up slowly to avoid overheating.

3. Wait for Vapour: As the correct temperature is reached, oxalic acid will sublime, producing visible white vapour.

4. Treat the Hive: Insert the heated end into the hive entrance, allowing the vapour to disperse inside the hive.

During sublimation, the vapour coats the hive and bees in a fine crystal layer that is harmless to bees but lethal to Varroa mites.

When & How to Apply

• Apply approximately 4g per colony

• Treat every 5 to 7 days as needed

• Best used during broodless periods (typically late autumn or winter)

• For blocked pipes due to overheating, apply gentle flame to the surface to clear
